Whether you are new to the area, at the start of your friendship with Jesus, or looking for other opportunities to serve His Church, we want you to feel welcomed here at Blue Ridge. Our members are warm and friendly, so especially with a smaller congregation, don’t be surprised if you’re greeted a couple of times! Our services are usually between 60-75 minutes.
Here are a few things that you can expect from our service
Biblical Teaching
Each week, we open the Bible and teach straight from it. Our pastor helps us explore Scripture in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and focused on Jesus. We believe God’s Word speaks into our lives today, and we want to be shaped by it.
Reading the Bible Together
You’ll notice we take time to read a passage from the Bible aloud. Sometimes it’s related to the sermon, and sometimes it’s simply to reflect on God’s Word. We believe reading Scripture is central to our worship.
Singing as a Church Family
We sing songs that remind us of who God is and what He’s done. You’ll hear a mix of hymns, gospel songs, and modern worship music all led by piano. Our focus isn’t performance – it’s praising God together with thankful hearts.
Prayer
Prayer is a vital part of our worship. As a church, we spend time praying together, thanking God, asking for His help, and reflecting on His goodness. It’s a moment to pause and realign our hearts with Him.
Giving
For those who regularly attend, we provide an opportunity to give financially as an act of worship. There’s a box in the sanctuary and an online option as well. If you’re visiting, please don’t feel any pressure to give. We’re just glad you’re here.
What to Wear
We don’t have a dress code. You’ll see everything from jeans to business casual. Wear what’s comfortable for you!
